Mary Ann Wilson was appointed in January 2000 by Secretary Andrew Cuomo as the Acting Secretary's Representative for the Mid-Atlantic area of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). She serves as the Secretary's principal contact for program operations, policy and customer services throughout the States of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. She comes to this position from Richmond, VA where she is HUD's State Coordinator. Mrs. Wilson's government service began with the Department of Defense in Philadelphia in 1961. She joined HUD Philadelphia in 1964 and has since served in a variety of program and management positions. Her career has spanned Seattle, Washington; Jackson, Mississippi; Little Rock, Arkansas; and, Washington, D.C. She was the recipient of HUD's Leadership Award in 1995. She is an active member and past President of the Federal Executive Association of Central Virginia, composed of 79 federal agencies. She received FEA's award for Outstanding Manager in 1994. She is a member of the Downtown Richmond Rotary Club and currently serves on its Board of Directors. Mrs. Wilson is a native of Philadelphia. She attended LaSalle University and Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She is married to Louis Wilson (USN Ret.) They have been blessed with four sons, four granddaughters and a grandson. |
